We the friends and members of Una Voce of Orange County, thank Bishop Brown for his past generosity in maintaining the Tridentine Latin Mass, which has been in place at St. Mary’s By the Sea Parish in Huntington Beach, California since 1992, and ask that it be allowed to continue there. We also request the privilege of celebrating daily Mass and all Holy days of obligation according to the calendar of 1962 and be granted the use of the Sacraments in the same previous liturgical form. We ask that respect be shown to the rightful aspirations of the faithful in their attachment to the Roman Rite of 1962, which have the recognition of the Holy See as promulgated by the 1988 Apostolic Letter “Ecclesia Dei Adflicta”, in which our Holy Father John Paul II asks his brother bishops to be generous with the faithful who ask for this Mass.

Una Voce is an international lay organization of Roman Catholics faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and obedient to the authority of Pope John Paul II.  We are dedicated to maintaining the Roman liturgy codified by Pope St. Pius V, known as the Tridentine or Latin Mass, as one of the universally recognized and honored forms of Eucharistic celebration. Una Voce also promotes Latin, the official Church language, and Gregorian chant, the official Church music.
